Obituary for Jerry Wayne Brumley

Jerry Wayne Brumley was born on October 1, 1942 in Deport, Texas and passed away on October 24, 2017 in Centerville, Texas at the age of 75 years. His parents were Richard Warren & Ruby Alene (McCury) Brumley.

Jerry retired as a Mess Hall Sergeant in the United States Army. He and his wife, Glenda, moved to Leon County in 1993, coming from Ingleside, Texas. Jerry was an outdoorsman in every sense of the word. He loved working on his land and would rather have spent all of his time outside than inside. Jerry was an expert woodworker and fisherman. Most of all, he loved his family, grandchildren and great grandchild. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by both of his parents and one brother. He is survived by his loving wife, Glenda (Horton) Brumley of Centerville; sons Richard Brumley (Laura) of Centerville and Jeff Brumley (Anna) of Remington, VA; brothers, Cecil Brumley (Kay) of Oakwood and Mike McCoy (Cindy) of Early and sister, Betty Houser (Allen). Jerry is also survived by grandchildren, Richie, Cameron, Joey, Jessica & Matthew Brumley and great granddaughter, Bristol Brumley.
