Orbie Ray Hairston

Funeral services for Orbie Ray Hairston, age 35, of Buffalo, are scheduled for 2 P.M., Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo. Pastor Lloyd Lane will officiate the service, and interment will follow in the Stevens Cemetery in rural northern Leon County. A public visitation will take place from 10 A.M. until service time on Thursday at the funeral home.

Orbie Ray Hairston was born on January 3, 1982 in Huntsville, Texas to Jesse & Erlinda (Garcia) Hairston. He worked as a mudlogger for various oil companies and was an extremely hard worker. Orbie’s job took him all over the state of Texas. He was currently working in the Midland, Texas area. Orbie was a Christian and attended the Miracle Christian Center when he was able. He enjoyed video games and times when he was able to go fishing with his grandfather. Orbie passed away on August 4, 2017 near Midland, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Jesse Hairston; brother, Steven Hairston; sister, Sylvia May Hairston and uncle, Rudy Garcia.

Orbie is survived by wife, Ashley Williams; mother, Erlinda Hairston; son, Justice Hairston; daughters, Liberty, Hope, Siana, Kylee and Jessalyn Hairston; brother, Jessie Hariston; sister, Veronica Hairston and her boys, Gabriel, Matthew, Dominic & Alexavier. He is also survived by uncles, Larry, Noel, Joe & Abel Hairston; mother and father-in-law, Rodger & Cynthia Williams; maternal grandmother, Martina Garcia; grandmother-in-law, Wanda Williams; great grandmother-in-law, Bernice Taylor; sisters-in-law, Christina & Monya Williams; uncle-in-law, Christopher Williams and special friend, Kristin Toukonen, along with her children, Alex & Gabriel.

Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo is in charge of all arrangements.
