Thomas Walker Lee

Funeral services for Thomas Lee, age 66, of Buffalo, will be held at 1 P.M., Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas followed by interment in the Wheelock Cemetery in rural Leon County. Gene Darby will officiate the service. Visitation will take place from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M., Tuesday, August 14th at the funeral home.

Thomas Walker Lee was born October 3, 1951 in Palestine, Texas to William J. “Bill” & Johnnie (Green) Lee. He was raised in Buffalo and had worked as a heavy equipment operator in the construction industry. He enjoyed it so much that even after his retirement, he would spend hours working with his equipment. Thomas had also driven a truck hauling cattle in and out of the state. Thomas most enjoyed family gatherings and visiting with his friends. He was a lifelong resident of Buffalo and attended the Church of Christ.

Thomas passed away August 12, 2018 at his home. He was preceded in death by his father, Bill Lee; son, Thomas “Walker” Lee and sister, Linda Mullenax. Surviving family members include mother, Johnnie Lee of Buffalo; daughters, Tammie Miranda Ginsel (Keith) of Marquez and Tara Michelle Newsom (Mark) of Bryan; brother, Jay “Bubba” Lee of Austin; sisters, Jamie Taylor (Sonny) of Buffalo, Mary Newsom (Charlie) of Buffalo and Billie Lee (Mikey Williams) of Buffalo; grandchildren, Karilyn Miller (David), Nicholas Newsom and Josie Newsom and great grandson, Adam Miller.
