Agustin A. Salazar

Agustin Salazar, 73, of Buffalo, Texas passed away March 9, 2021 in Palestine, Texas. He was born January 27, 1948 in Monterrey, Mexico to Sabastian Salazar and Antonio (Alvarez) Salazar.

Agustin had lived in Leon County most of his life and was employed with Nucor Steel for twenty years until his retirement. He enjoyed carpentry and woodworking. Agustin was a handyman and enjoyed passing time by repairing broken items. He was a man who was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Agustin was preceded in death by both of his parents and an infant son. He is survived by sons, Jerry, Gabby, Jesus, Jamie and Antonio Salazar; grandchildren, Nathan, Randy, Rudy, Priscilla, Emily, Maya, Genesis, Yareli, Valarie, Maggie and Christian; great-granddaughter, Leontina and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services for Agustin will be held 1 P.M., Friday, March 12, 2021 at Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas. Salatiel Ramirez will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Sardis Cemetery near Jewett, Texas. A visitation will take place Thursday, March 11th from 9 A.M. to 8 P.M., as well as, the following day from 9 A.M. to service time at Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home.
