Bobby Clinton Jones

Graveside services for Bobby Jones, age 79, will be held 2 P.M., Monday, April 29, 2019 at the Jones Family Cemetery in rural Leon County, Texas. A visitation will be held Sunday evening, April 28th from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas.

Bobby Clinton Jones was born August 17, 1939 in Cass County, Texas. He was one of nine children born to Ernest & Roxie (Cook) Jones. Bobby served his country in the United States Air Force. He married Patsy Godejohn December 23, 1959.

Bobby worked as a pipeline welder for forty-five years until his retirement and was a member of the Pipeline Union for fifty-eight years. He was also a 33rd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. Following retirement, Bobby and his wife moved from Cleveland, Texas to their current home in the country where he enjoyed hunting, taking care of his cows and horses and maintaining the property.

Bobby passed away April 25, 2019 at his home. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; son, Robert Jones; brothers, Orville, Elwood, Lester and Billy Jones and sisters, Rena and Reba.

Surviving family members include wife of fifty-nine years, Patsy Jones; daughter, Annette Cooper (Bill); brother, Waylon Jones (Shirley); sister, Gertie Wheeler; daughter-in-law, Anna Williams; grandchildren, Randy Jones (Robin), Montey Jones (Alicia) and Sabrina Pemberton (Jason) and great-grandchildren, Gracelynn Harcrow, Charlie Jones, Kindall Jones, Nicole Jones, William Pemberton and Karly Pemberton. Bobby is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
