Laura Lee (Sanders) Watson died on September 7, 2021 at her home in Carbondale, Illinois.

She was born to Coleman SANDERS and Lucile (Harrison) Sanders in Jewett, Texas on April 7, 1929 and was raised in Buffalo.

She married Henry Thedford Watson on September 17, 1948 and were married ten days short of their seventy-third wedding anniversary.

After their marriage they lived in Huntsville, Texas where they raised their daughter and son. Henry and Laura Lee moved to Colorado in 1972 and then to Buffalo in 1994.

In 2013, they moved to Carbondale to be near their daughter, grandson and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Henry Thedford "Ted" Watson, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa Lucile "Lucy" and Dr. E. Bane KROEGER; grandson, Brian Michael TRANT and wife, Andrea Nicole and great-grandchildren, Coleman, Mason, Laura Lee and Xander.

Graveside services will be Monday, September 13, 2021 at 11 A.M. at the Old Liberty Cemetery, Leon County, Texas.
