Sara Jo Echols passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the age of 32.

Sara was born into this world on January 9, 1989 in Houston, Texas to Lori Belt Echols and Hubert Joe Echols.

She graduated from Buffalo Texas High School and received her BA from the University of Texas. She then made her home in Richland Hills, Texas. Sara was employed by Alley Cats Entertainment as their Creative Director on their Sales and Marketing team. She was known as an amazing team member who went above and beyond her expected duties and was deeply loved by her Alley Cat family.

Sara was a lover of dancing, art, and singing. In her youth, Sara was a talented competitive dancer. Throughout her life, she had a love and gift for drawing and singing. Sara also loved her family and friends deeply. She could make anyone feel the joy and love that she had in her own heart. Above all, Sara’s greatest love was being a mother to her beautiful daughter, Elena. She was the happiest when she was spending time with her daughter. There was never a moment that Elena failed to put a smile on her mother’s face. She brought Sara the most joy. The amount of love that Sara had for Elena was incomparable to anything else. She was the center of Sara’s world. Elena made Sara a mother, which was the greatest gift Sara could have ever been given.

She is preceded in death by her older brother, Joel Echols, Grandfather, Eugene Echols and Grandmother, Peggy Echols.

Sara is survived by her daughter, Elena Joelle Kari and Elena’s father, Ken Kari; mother, Lori Echols of Watauga, TX; father, Joe Echols and step-mother, Beverly Jean Echols of Centerville, TX; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service honoring Sara's life will be held 11 A.M., Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas. Pastor Wesley Henson will officiate the service.
