Angela Yvette "Angie" Burchfield

Angela Yvette (Privette) Burchfield, 55, of Buffalo, passed away suddenly on the night of January 5, 2024. She was born in Houston, Texas, on March 11, 1968.

Anyone who knew Angie knew how much she adored animals. Whether it was collecting bugs, frogs, turtles, and snakes as a child, to fostering kittens and caring for special needs goats as an adult, she always had a new animal to talk about. She referred to her goats as her "emotional support goats," and they loved her as much as she loved them. Every time she went outside, they would start hollering at her until she got to the fence to talk to them.

You couldn't help but love her. Angie always had a smile on her face no matter what was going on, and due to her time working at various businesses in Buffalo, as well as the nursing home, she was very well-known and loved.

Angie is survived by her father, Bobby Privette and his special friend, LeeAnn, of Buffalo; daughter, Sarah Burchfield of Buffalo; "adopted" daughters, Abigail Smith and wife, Rachael Beam and Kimberly Allen, all of Buffalo; sister, Cyndi Bachman and husband, Gregg of Dearborn, MI; nephew, Casey Privette and partner, Kaitlin of Waco; and nephew, Christopher Privette and partner, Genia of Buffalo; also - goats. Fig, Newton, Charlie, and Stevie; cats, Ruby, Isabella, Rockie, Lucky; grand-cat Romeo; and bearded dragon, Leo.

Angie's celebration of life will be held at Celebration Church of Buffalo on March 9, 2024 at 2 P.M.. She always said she didn't want this to be a sad and dark occasion, so please wear bright colors instead of the usual black. That would make her happy.

Flowers are welcome, but the family does ask that you consider making a donation in Angie's name to her favorite cat rescue: The Kittery, 838 Krisker Lane, Mexia, TX, 76667 (or kitteryrescue.org).

If you wish to send a plant, cat-friendly succulents are also welcomed.
