Homegoing services for C. Dameron Scott, 42, will be held 2 P.M., Saturday, January 18, 2020, in the Family Life Center of First St. Holland Baptist Church in Buffalo, Texas. A brief visitation will take place prior to the service from 12 noon to 1:30 P.M. at the church.

C. Dameron Scott was born October 29, 1977, in Teague, Texas to proud parents, Charlie & Julia Ann (Hayes) Scott. He was the youngest, and only son, of three children. Dameron was a 1996 graduate of Buffalo High School in Buffalo, Texas. He furthered his education by earning an Associates Degree from Navarro Jr. College in Corsicana, Texas in 1998, where he met the love of his life, Cerina Caballero. In 2010, he received a Bachelors Degree from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas.

Dameron married Cerina November 3, 2001. Together, they had two beautiful children; Cabo, born in 2004, (15 years) and Caleesi, born in 2012 (7 years). Dameron also began his career as the Vice President for Bank of America where he worked for ten years. He had enjoyed spending his time away from work proudly coaching his son to a super bowl win as a Tri County Football Coach in Tyler, Texas. Later, Dameron served as the District Manager of Farmers Insurance of Northern Colorado. He was currently the President and Owner of C. Dameron Scott Insurance Agency in Rockwall, Texas. Dameron was also a registered Principal Financial Security Licensee for investments.

Dameron was a God fearing, dedicated and loving husband, father, son and overall family man. He filled the room and everyone’s hearts with his magnetic smile. Dameron was also a giving man, in so many ways. He touched the lives of countless people in magnificent fashion and will be missed not only by his immediate family, but his extended family members and countless friends.

Dameron passed away suddenly Monday, January 13, 2020, at his home in Rockwall. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Charlie and Mae Lena Scott; maternal grandparents, Samuel and Arlee Hayes and nephew, Taylor Aaden Forest.

Those left to cherish Dameron’s memory are wife, Cerina Caballero-Scott; children, Cabo and Caleesi Scott; parents, Charlie & Julia Scott; sisters, Demetria Scott-Forest and Sonya Scott-Wiley; nieces, Jasmine Forest-Glasgow, Aaryn Forest and Britnee Forest, nephew, Lathan Wiley and great nieces, Khaily Alexander and Evaya Wiley. Dameron is also survived by father-in-law and mother-in-law, Martin, Sr. and Beatriz Caballero; brothers-in-law, Martin Caballero Jr. and wife, Linda and Ethan Stephenson Caballero and wife, Vanessa and nieces, Kristen, Denise and Leaneth Castesllanos.

In lieu of flowers, the Scott family requests memorial donations be made in support of Dameron's children at Scott Family, 2001 Willowbrok Ln., Tyler, Texas 75701.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas.
