Charles Daniel "Dan" Ansley was born August 23, 1967 in Weatherford, Texas to Jerry Robert, Sr. & Mary Lee (Hearne) Ansley. He lived in Buffalo his entire life and was a graduate of Buffalo High School. Dan was the owner and operator of 3D Construction, instituted in 1997, where he completed quality construction jobs for the many residents of Leon and surrounding counties.

In his younger years, Dan loved breaking and riding horses. He enjoyed fishing, bird and deer hunting, working in his vegetable garden and was an avid watcher of the television show, Gunsmoke. Dan was a skilled and hard worker and liked to stay busy during the day. Laziness was not in his vocabulary. He cherished Sunday dinners with his family and held a special place in his heart for his bird dog, Inca. He and his sweetheart, Melissa, had been married since July 10, 1987 and were members of the Cowboy Church of Leon County, Centerville, Texas.

Dan passed away at his home May 24, 2023 surrounded by those he loved. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and nephew, Robert D. Ansley.

Surviving family members include wife of thirty-five years, Melissa (Pate) Ansley of Buffalo; sons, Daniel Ansley (Allison) of Buffalo and Dylan Ansley (Christy) of Buffalo; brother, Jerry R. Ansley, Jr. (Moon) of Atoka, OK; sisters, Eva Renea Ansley of Buffalo and Juanita Gail LeGalley (Lance) of Jewett; grandchildren, Blayne, Jace, Pate and Embry; special niece, Jennifer Kingsbury of Bryan, as well as numerous other dear nieces, nephews and extended family.

A funeral service honoring Dan's life will be held 3 P.M., Sunday, May 28, 2023 at Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas. Pastors Tuffy Loftin and Bubba Norman will officiate the service. Interment will follow in Buffalo Cemetery. A time of visitation and fellowship will take place Saturday, May 27th from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
