Obituary

Cheryl Lane, age 66, of Lanely, was welcomed into the open arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, October 21, 2022 in Temple, Texas. A celebration of her life will be held 10 A.M., Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Miracle Christian Center, Buffalo, Texas. Interment will follow in Dew Cemetery, Dew, Texas. A time of visitation, remembrance and fellowship will take place Monday evening, October 24th from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas.


Cheryl Lynn (Hearn) Lane was born June 8, 1956 in Teague, Texas to parents, Bobby Jo & Billie (Hill) Hearn. She was raised in Teague and attended Teague schools. Cheryl married her lifelong partner and husband, Lloyd Lane at the young age of sixteen. Together, they co-pastored Miracle Christian Center in Buffalo for the past forty years. Cheryl loved her family, especially all of her grandchildren and newest addition, a great-granddaughter.


Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Jo Hearn and parents-in-law, Lowry "Doc" & Madelyn Lane of Lanely.


Cheryl's surviving family includes husband, Pastor Lloyd Lane of Lanely; mother, Billie Hearn and Wayne; children, Amy (Brad) Gaskins of Lanely, Stacy (Montie) Morris of Lanely and Daniel Lane of Oregon; grandchildren, Bethany (Colton) Henson, Ally Gaskins, Landry Shelton, Karsyn Shelton, Kenady Morris, Jackson Morris, Demitri Lane, Avalon Lane and Harlow Lane; great-granddaughter, Callyn James Henson; brother, Brandon Hearn of Teague; brother-in-law, Lynnie (Staci) Lane; sister-in-law, Penny (Kevin) Scruggs; nephews, Lloyd Lynn (Laurie) Lane and Lane (Bailey) Scruggs; nieces, Lauren (Jonathan) Saldana, Addison Hearne and Talana (Eddie) Schultz, as well as numerous great nieces and nephews and extended family.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas.
