Christine Allaire Golden

Christine Allaire Golden, 99, passed away peacefully January 7, 2021 at her home in Leon County, Texas. She was born August 7, 1921 in Los Angeles, California to Charles Arthur & Gelissia Jane (Adams) Beinhorn.

In her younger years, Christine worked as a bookkeeper for several businesses but remained a devoted homemaker her whole life. Christine and her late husband, J.D., had lived in Leon County since 1985, coming from Spring. She enjoyed living in Leon County and the time it allowed her to spend with her large, extended family. As the beloved matriarch of five-generations, Christine adored each of the newest additions, especially rolling them around on her walker during holiday gatherings.

Christine remained active to the end of her life and lived independently, still cooking for herself and taking care of her home. She had enjoyed activities such as, cooking and baking, sewing and gardening, but mainly visiting the casino slot machines in Louisiana. Anytime a trip was mentioned, Christine didn’t have to be told twice to pack her bag. She was always willing and ready to go have some fun.

Christine had been a faithful member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Centerville where she was a former member of the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML).

Christine was greeted in Heaven by both of her parents; husband of over sixty years, J.D. Golden; daughters, Lou Ellen Golden and Cindy Belyeu and brother, C.A. Beinhorn, Jr.

Those left to remember Christine and the wonderful legacy she left behind are her children, Mary Ann Champion, John Arthur (Penny) Golden and Richard Dean (Donna) Golden, all of Buffalo; grandchildren, Rachel Mitchell, Madelyn Kilgore, Tina Hanson, Judy Mizell, Bud Champion, Bob Champion, Renee Carranza, Casey Randle, Travis Golden, Justin Golden and Brittany Golden; sisters, Wilhelmina King and Patricia Jane Hodde, both of Houston; twenty great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services for Christine will be held 2 P.M., Friday, January 29, 2021 at Siloam Cemetery in Leon County, Texas. Pastor Keith Bowman, of Our Savior Lutheran Church, will officiate the service.
