Edward Earle Odom

Edward Earle Odom, 83, of Buffalo, Texas passed away on February 27, 2023. He was born on October 7, 1939 to Alva Price & Myrtis Mozelle (Deason) Odom in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Edward was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and dearly loved his country. He was a member of the Buffalo Masonic Lodge #554 and Order of the Eastern Star Buffalo #157, as well as a Shriner. Edward enjoyed fishing and working in the yard. His wife, Bonnie eventually talked him into traveling where they went on several cruises and visited most of the United States together.


Edward was preceded in death by both of his parents and first wife, Martha. He is survived by his second wife, Bonnie (Patotzka) Odom of Buffalo, Texas; son, Terry Don Odom (Lisa) of San Diego, California; daughter, Melinda (Odom) Young of Wallkill, New York; step-daughter, Julie Butler of Buffalo, Texas; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Sandra Brown of Sylacauga, Alabama and Patsy Corrie of Pennsylvania, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.


A funeral service for Edward will be held 11 A.M., Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Stewart Memorial United Methodist Church in Buffalo, Texas. Bro. Richard Gillet will officiate. A brief visitation will take place from 10 A.M. until time of the service. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 P.M. that afternoon in New Montgomery Cemetery in Montgomery, Texas.

Honorary Pallbearers: Robert Rachal, Ken Jones, Craig Graham, Rex Thomas


Arrangements are under the direction of Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas
