Francisco Javier Saldana was born May 2, 2003 in Mexico. He lived most of his life in Buffalo, Texas where he excelled in sports from an early age. Affectionately known as “Poncho” by his family and friends, he grew up in the tight knit town of Buffalo, easily making friends with his outgoing personality and ability to talk all day. There wasn’t anyone that Poncho couldn’t talk with. His loving nature gave him the ability to make people laugh and smile because Poncho never liked sadness and wished to see everyone happy. Poncho was a graduate of Buffalo High School, the kicker of the high school football team, a participant in cross-country track and a lover of soccer. Poncho passed away February 8, 2002 at his home in Buffalo. He will be greatly missed and mourned by his family and community.

Garcia of Buffalo; brother, Angel Moreno of Buffalo; sister, Andrea Moreno of Buffalo; grandparents, Leticia Orona and Jose Garcia of Buffalo and uncles, Jesus, Juan and Jose Garcia all of Buffalo, as well as a host of extended family and friends.
