Gael Alexis Ortiz-Hernandez

June 28, 2005 — July 17, 2026

Buffalo, Texas

It is with broken hearts and profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Gael Alexis Ortiz-Hernandez, who left us far too soon on July 17, 2026, in Bronte, Texas. At just 21 years old, Gael's vibrant spirit and boundless warmth touched all who knew him. Born on June 28, 2005, in Acuña, Coahuila, Mexico, he brought with him a bright light that illuminated the lives of his family, friends, and community.

Gael was beloved deeply by his family, who now mourn his sudden and tragic loss. He is survived by his devoted father, Delfino Ortiz, and loving mother, Dora Ortiz, who have always been his guiding lights. His brother, Luis Ortiz, and sister-in-law, Cristal, grieve for a sibling whose humor and encouragement enriched their lives immeasurably. Gael's nephews, Damian, Leonardo, and Nicholas Ortiz, will forever cherish the joy and playful enthusiasm that their uncle brought into their childhoods. His grandmother, Bertha Hernandez, also survives him, holding close countless precious memories of her cherished grandson.

Preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Alonso Hernandez-whose wisdom and love helped shape him-Gael's legacy is threaded with the strength of family bonds and traditions that will live on through those who loved him.

Gael's presence was marked by kindness and an infectious smile. No words can fully convey the sense of loss now felt by his family and friends; yet those who knew him will always remember his gentle heart, laughter, and determination. Every life milestone-every celebration, quiet moment, and shared dream-now feels more precious in his absence. While his time with us was far too brief, Gael's impact will endure, rippling through the memories and stories that his loved ones continue to share.

Though Gael Alexis Ortiz-Hernandez's journey was tragically cut short, his memory remains an everlasting source of inspiration and love. He will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.
