James Goodin, age 73, passed away Friday, December 20, 2019, at his home in Leon County. Funeral services are planned for 2 P.M., Sunday, December 22, 2019, at Walters’ Buffalo Funeral Home in Buffalo, Texas. Gene Darby will officiate the service. Interment will be in Lummus Cemetery in the Flo Community. A brief visitation will take place Sunday from 12 Noon to service time at the funeral home.

James C. Thomas Goodin was born August 25, 1946, in Leander, Texas to O.B. & Birdie (Ragland) Goodin. He worked as a maintenance technician for a golf course and had lived in Leon County since 2004. James was a member of the Church of Christ in Buffalo. He enjoyed treasure hunting, nature and was very good at masonry work with rocks.

James was preceded in death by both of his parents. He is survived by wife, Betty Goodin of Buffalo; daughter, Brenda Ferris (Dude) of Cameron; three sisters; grandchildren, Coy Ferris & Cortney Dozier (Speedy) and great-grandson, Branton Ferris.
