Joyce "Julene" (Ray) Wells, 69, of Buffalo, Texas passed away on August 9, 2023 in Buffalo, Texas. She was born to Frederick C. Ray, Sr. and Ellen Oleta (Via) Ray Zahnter on December 9, 1953 in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Julene was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Don Wells; son, Garland N. Capps and granddaughter, Kaci Dian Clark. She is survived by her daughters, Tonya Jones of Conroe, Texas, TJ Delaney and husband, Larry of Conroe, Texas and Carol Hamilton of Alvin, Texas; sisters, Ora Maddox of Bay City, Texas, Oleta Rushing and husband, Jimmy of Willis, Texas, Jennora Crimm of Magnolia, Texas, Mary Cole and husband, Kevin of The Woodlands, Texas and Jeanette Woody of Sacramento, California; brothers, Frederick C. Ray, Jr. of Bay City, Texas, and Paul M. Ray and wife, Melissa Heaton of Elizabethton, Tennessee; uncle, Norman Ray and wife, Jane of Florence, Alabama; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A graveside service for Julene will be at 12:00 P.M., Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Link Family Cemetery in Palestine, Texas. Bro. Richard Dahlgren will officiate the service.
