Leslie B. Grantland, age 66, of Buffalo, left this world unexpectedly on November 15, 2025. He was born on July 5, 1959, in Port Lavaca, Texas, to Charles Neal and Peggy Elizabeth (Stapp) Grantland. He was a beloved father, an adored grandfather, and a cherished friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Growing up on the water, Leslie spent his early years helping his family run their towboat business, forging a deep connection to the life of the sea. His hands were never idle; he later became a skilled mechanic, known far and wide for his remarkable ability to repair anything that was broken-a true jack of all trades. Leslie's love for the outdoors shone brightly in his passion for hunting and fishing, activities that brought him joy and allowed him to share memorable moments with family and friends.
Leslie made Buffalo, Texas, his home for the past forty years, building countless relationships that enriched his life. He found immense happiness in spending time with his daughter, Lesann Stevens, and his growing family, including his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable joy.
Leslie was preceded in death by his father, Charles Grantland; wife, Kimberly Grantland; and great-grandson, Harlow Kilgore. Surviving family members include mother, Peggy Grantland of Buffalo; daughter, Leslie Ann "Lesann" Stevens (Thomas) of Buffalo; brother, Gregory Grantland (Lea) of Groesbeck; sister, Colleen Grantland of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Rhett Kilgore, Dirk Kilgore, Dawson Grantland, Tavie Jones, Easton Stevens, Caidence King and Drake Stevens; and great-grandchildren, Noah Kilgore, Kaiston Kilgore, Ad'Lee Kilgore, and Oaklynn Kilgore.
