Mary Dell Rosner

With a heavy heart we regretfully inform you that Mary Dell Rosner was reunited with her loved ones in their heavenly home at the age of 88, on February 7, 2023 in Tyler, Texas, she left us.

Mary was born in Mineola, Texas on May 4, 1934 to Roy Dewey & Hattie (Beleamy) Phillips. In the late 1940's, Mary's family moved to Houston, Texas. At the young age of 13, she would meet the love of her life, Steve Rosner. On August 13, 1949, they were joined in holy matrimony and were inseparable for the next 57 years until his passing in 2006.

While in Houston, Mary and Steve raised four sons in a godly home, Eddie Ray, Steven Ray, Frank Roy and Randy Dewayne. They took part in their sons lives, attending numerous activities and always taking them to church. In the Rosner home.... family was everything.

After Mary working for Texaco for 25+ years and Steve working for Stewart & Stevenson for 36 years, they both retired. About 1990 Mary & Steve moved to Oakwood, Texas. They built their retirement home and ranch which they lovingly referred to as, Papa's Heaven.

Mary was no stranger to life's heart aches and pain. Being of stout Christian character and unwavering faith in her God she was forced to bury 3 of her sons and her husband, through these many years.

Mary has always been active in the community and a faithful member of Memorial Baptist Church. Being involved in her childrens, grandchildrens and great-grandchildrens' lives attending all events possible for every one of them. She was known by everyone in Oakwood as "Granny." In her later years, Mary loved attending gospel singing and weekly domino games with her family and friends.

Though her health was failing, on the Sunday before her death, she followed her typical routine by attending church and lunch with multiple church family members at her favorite Mexican restaurant, then promptly proceeded to invite friends over for dominoes and dessert at her home.

Family and friends will forever miss her sweet, loving smile.

A life well lived!
