Robert Glynn Rogers

Robert Glynn Rogers was born September 4, 1935 in Saint Joseph's Infirmary in Houston, Texas. His parents were Gilbert E. & Opal (McWhirter) Rogers. He was a graduate of Jefferson Davis High School, Houston, Texas in 1953 and served his country in the U.S. Navy on the U.S. Helena during the Korean Conflict from 1954 - 1957. Robert married his sweetheart, Willie Frances Denman, May 15, 1959 in Houston, Texas. He retired as a Senior Captain in 1992 from the Harris County Constable's Office after thirty-two years of service.


Robert and Willie had lived in Buffalo since 1991 where each were involved in many community and church groups. They were both longtime members of First Baptist Church, Buffalo where Robert was ordained as a Deacon in 2006. He was also a member of the Centerville Masonic Lodge #1291, as well as a Shriner.


Robert passed away May 6, 2023 in Tomball, Texas. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; wife of sixty-four years, Willie Frances Rogers and brother, Paul H. Rogers of Tacoma, WA.


Survivors include brother, Leroy Rogers of Houston; son, Craig Rogers of Kingsville; daughter, Ava Cook of Tomball; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and countless loving friends.


A funeral service honoring Robert's life will be held 10 A.M., Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas. Interment will follow at 12:30 P.M. in Cross Cemetery, Grimes County, Texas. A time of visitation will take place Friday evening from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas.
