Wanda Lee King

Wanda Lee King, age 60, of Buffalo, Texas departed her earthly home to be with her Heavenly Father July 5, 2023.  A homegoing celebration of her life will be held 1 P.M., Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Apostolic Life United Pentecostal Church, Buffalo, Texas.  Pastor of the church, Matt Travis, will officiate the service.

Wanda was born June 2, 1963 in Galveston, Texas to Merick King & Annie Sue (Byrd). She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. Wanda was well liked and a genuinely sweet person. She was able to get along with everyone and had a great sense of humor.

Wanda had lived in Buffalo for the past five years, coming from Normangee, Texas, and before that Snook, Texas. She was Baptist in faith.

Wanda was preceded in death by both of her parents and son, Julius Turner; grandson, Bryston Turner and sisters, Alberta Byrd and Sylvania Byrd .

Those left behind to cherish Wanda's memory are sons, Nathan King and Eric Turner; grandson, Emerson King; brother, Waymon Byrd; sisters, Annette King and Vera King, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, Buffalo, Texas.
