William Randyl Burgess, known to many as Randy, passed away on May 12, 2026, in Buffalo, Texas, surrounded by the love of his wife, Kimberly. Born on February 3, 1958, in Encino, California, Randy lived a life marked by dedicated service, steadfast commitment, and deep familial bonds.
A proud veteran, Randy honorably served in the United States Army. His military service was a defining chapter in his life, one he recounted with pride and which spoke to his strong sense of duty and patriotism. Beyond his military contributions, Randy was an esteemed member of the fraternal community. He was actively involved with the Jewett Masonic Lodge #427, where he earned great respect and distinction, including holding the prestigious role of past Worshipful Master. His dedication to the Masonic principles underscored his character and commitment to community and brotherhood.
Randy's life was enriched by his close relationships with family. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Kimberly A. Burgess, and his daughter, Ashley Buckalew. He also leaves behind siblings, Leslie Nelson, Joel Burgess, and Lisa Burgess, along with a sister-in-law, Cindy. Randy was predeceased by his parents, Ewel Ray Burgess and Martha Faye (Johnson) Burgess, and his sister, Sandra Burgess.
Visitation for William Randyl Burgess will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at Walters' Buffalo Funeral Home, located at 249 Humphreys, Buffalo, Texas, 75831. This will be followed by the funeral service at 11 A.M., at the same location.
Throughout his life, Randy demonstrated unwavering commitment—to his country, his fraternity, and his family. His legacy is one of honor, service, and love, leaving an indelible imprint on all who knew him.
